If you have an online shop, you know the pain of customers loading up their cart and then abandoning it before processing payment. According to research aggregated by UK-based couponing site VoucherCloud.ca, 57% of online consumers will abandon a site within three seconds if a page doesn’t load. And 80% of these people won’t return. The average length of a checkout process among the top 100 grossing e-commerce sites, counting from the “cart” to the page where the order is placed (most often a “review order” page), is about five minutes.
